Legendary.

In an opportune mood quite cantankerous
Wrote some words rather unambiguous
When wracked with hunger and weighed with bore
Visions swam of prodigious tub of slaw
And nay not further, not too far behind
Strode visions of an epic burger divine
Three hundred grams of Australian beef
Set amidst a riot of crisp fresh leaf
And if not enough this image gargantuan
Was quickly if not surely a mountain
Crowned with bacon girt with cheese
Laced with pickles, sautéed onion and beet
This but wondrous sight to behold
Perched on chips crisp and hot below
Smothered somewhat with darkened gravy
A dietician’s nightmare a cardiologist’s malady
So close this vision swam thus by
Followed thus with steak and kidney pie
The duck’s nuts did but barely compare
To the artery clogging fat-filled nightmare
The knees of bees away went knocking
A legendary repast setting loose tongues a-talking
A pint of beer did close become six
As bottomless fountains of bitter entered the mix
Gushing gold and amber streams more could be said
Of hops and barley malt and pillowy head
Thus I saw and dreamed this morn
As in the library I did thus yawn
Fifteen readings more to comprehend
Surely one more would drive me round the bend
Anyone for lunch?
