Disappontments? Maybe.

Scratch the working on campus bit. As it turns out, the school’s directive is that they hire current post-grad students, so as to give those fellows who didn’t get a scholarship some cash. Which is all fair and good, but I was hoping that I could get that tutoring job.

Back to the drawing board.

Interestingly, Natalie Jackson said that she had read my thesis, and thought it was good. Good to the point whereby she was questioning why I didn’t get into masters, and pushing me to consider a PhD. Apparently the thesis I wrote is indicative of that standard, and ‘it would be a waste’ if I don’t pursue higher education ala PhD.

It’s nice to receive unsolicited praise. But me? A PhD? I’m not so sure that’s what I want. First things first though, I need a job.
